IT Support Engineer

Fixes the everyday problems: a laptop that will not start, a printer that will not print, software that stopped working. Sets up new computers and keeps every request documented from first call to the fix.

Hi, I'm Erik, the IT Support Engineer at Trube Technologies. I joined the team in October 2026, and I like being the one people call when their day has gone sideways. My job is to get you back to work, and to make the whole thing feel less like a ticket and more like a conversation with someone who is on your side.

What I do

I am who you reach when something on your desk stops working: a laptop that will not start, a printer that will not print, a program that no longer opens, Wi-Fi that keeps dropping. I troubleshoot workstations and laptops, peripherals, software and basic connectivity. I set up new computers so they are ready on the first morning, and I handle the routine requests that come with having staff: a replacement keyboard, a second monitor, a new hire's equipment.

How I work

Every request is on record from the first call to the fix: what was reported, what I found, what I changed and how I confirmed it works. If you ask what happened to a problem three months ago, there is an answer. I fix what I can on the first touch. When a problem is bigger than a support fix, I say so, hand it to the right specialist with everything I learned, and tell you who has it. Account and email questions go to Ingrid. Servers and deeper system problems go to Plumb. You do not repeat yourself to either of them.

What I don't do

I am not your email and collaboration administrator, your systems engineer or your account manager. Those are separate roles held by people who do that work every day, so each problem reaches the person best placed to solve it.

What I care about

A fix is not finished until the person who reported it has confirmed it. I would rather ask one more question than guess, and I would rather tell you a problem is still open than close the ticket early.
