For accounting firms
Clients trust you. We help you keep it that way.
We are the IT department for accounting firms. We look after your email, computers, phones, backups and website, so during tax season you can spend your time on what matters most: your clients.
When the deadline is Friday
What stops a tax-season week:
- A computer that will not turn on the morning a return is due.
- A password that stops working, with a client waiting on the phone.
- Files you can open at the office but not from home.
- A shared folder that goes down, and a backup copy nobody ever tested.
When everything stops working and you cannot tell if it is the computer, the software, the internet or the router, wouldn't it be nice to have just one number to call, so you do not have to figure it out? (316) 347-7630
Your inbox is your front door
A scammer can pretend to be you.
Your clients email you tax papers, bank details and Social Security numbers. They get your bills by email too. That makes your name worth faking.
If your email is not set up right, a scammer can send a message that looks like it came from you. It says, "We have a new way to pay. Use this link." Your client pays the scammer, and has no way to tell it was not you. By the time anyone finds out, the money is gone. Fixing it can take months. Then comes the hard part: does the client pay twice, or do you cover the loss?
Email protection is part of what we do for firms: we set up your email so no one can send messages pretending to be you, and we keep it that way.
What a free look covers
Would a scammer pick your firm?
All we need is your web address, the part after the @ in your email, like yourfirm.com. No passwords, no logins, nothing to install. We look at your website and email the way a scammer would, from the outside, to see if your firm looks like an easy target:
- Can someone send an email that looks like it came from your firm?
- What can anyone learn about your firm just by looking at your website and email settings?
- Is your website safe, up to date, and showing the right phone number and address?
You get a short report in plain words. You can give it to whoever looks after your computers, or to us.
Before the busy season starts
What a new seasonal hire should find on day one.
- A computer that is ready to go, with the latest updates and the right programs set up.
- A firm email address that is protected, and access to only the client files the job needs.
- The office phone on their own phone or laptop, ringing wherever they work.
- One number to call, answered by someone who already knows how your firm is set up.
Backups
Client files you can get back.
We back up your client files to a secure online storage service, away from your office, so your files stay secure if anything happens to your computers or your office. We also check that the backup really works. If a computer breaks in March, you get your files back. You never find out the backup stopped working right when you need it most.
We also run your firm's website and keep it up to date, so the site clients find matches the firm they know.
We run our own company on the same setup we manage for clients.
See what a scammer sees.
Send us your web address and nothing else. There is no obligation, and the report is yours either way.
